Can anyone verify if ads for work from home just need a computer and/or ads about online degrees are true?

Just wanted to know if anyone out there tried a work from offer that wasnt a mound of lies. Or if anyone has ever graduated and been employed from an online school. Would you recommend this route? Thanks

Will I have problems being accepted to lawschool with an online degree? (University of Phoenix)?

ME asked:

I went to a traditional university for 2 years, and now the University of Phoenix for another 2 years: I will graduate next year. I just registered for the LSAT, I’m studying for that and I’m concentrating on keeping my GPA high. From what I’ve researched if I do all I’m supposed to do and do them well (especially the LSAT and GPA) I should have the same application experience as other students. I ask because people put their noses in the air when I say I go to UoP online; even though I am satisfied with my education.

Can I get accepted to a college if I been on a online college?

unconditional love asked:

I live in Houston Texas and I graduated from an online college in November with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. It was good but I was to isolated from a lot of the world because I had to study a lot. Now I want to go to a college where the professor can talk to me face to face and I can talk to people in person. I just want to know if any will let me enroll? Some people say they may not.

So attended metro state college in Denver for about 4 1/2 years and I have 3 classes left to graduate, but bills have piled up so high I had to take a break. now I want to complete my education but Metro doesn’t offer any online courses in the classes I need to finish. I have one math class and two concentrated art courses for computer imaging. What online colleges can I go to that I can just finish those three freaking classes??? I really want to finish! And something that isn’t crazy expensive !
Basically,
online courses in Computer Imaging, and Math
Not expensive
and will transfer from Metro State College in Denver
Any answers would help me a lot. Thank you!

Online bachelor’s degree. pointless or not?

Hello. I graduated high school 3 years ago and have taken a few years off. I have been working, live in an apartment with my dog and boyfriend, and find the idea of going back to full time school very imposing on my happy little life. Anyway, I would like to get a bachelor’s in business and was excited about doing so through an online program.
I did a little bit of research and went to a recruitment/orientation meeting a University of Phoenix and was EXTREMELY dissapointed! So I did some deeper research and found that most people that got degrees through online programs were very uncompetitive in the job market, etc.
Anyway, I’d really like to go to school online so it doesn’t rock my world too bad. Is there a good program? Are there successful people out there? Is it a total waste of time and money? Any and all input is welcome!!!

How should an online college degree be listed on a resume?

Nikki B asked:

Hi. I recently graduated from the University of Phoenix with an Associates of Arts in Business degree. I completed this degree online. I am updating my resume now, and cannot decide on how I should list this degree. I know I don’t need to include the ‘online” part unless I am asked. But I live in TX and the UOP is of course in Phoenix, AZ. So the entry on my resume looks like this:

University of Phoenix, Houston, TX
Associate of Arts in Business Degree

To me, it just doesnt look right, almost looks fake. Should I put Phoenix, AZ since thats where the college is, or put Houston, TX since thats where I am??

Thanks in advance for any help.

O, and how should computer skills be listed? I am proficient in most microsoft programs, but do i need to list each individual program?

Does anyone know of sites where I can put my writing portfolio online?

ravensgirl1 asked:

I graduated w/a degree in journalism and I have a large writing portfolio but I need to put it online but don’t have any clue of what sites would let me do this. Since everyone wants links to my writing samples now this would be the most convenient way. I plan on creating a website soon but I am applying for a few jobs on Monday and need something quick and easy to use. So does anyone know of any sites or have any suggestions?

Graduate school, possible job opps?

citygurl82 asked:

I’m in school to get my masters in psychology and counseling. In two years, I will have finished all of the classes/interships. The last two years consist of classes unrelated to psychology but are required at this school. I would be able to take those “other” classes online to finish my degree. What are my chances of getting a job in the counseling field if I’ve finished the psyc courses but haven’t finished the actual graduate degree?

Are online masters degrees worth it?

dub554 asked:

I am about to graduate with a BS in Engineering Management, Information Systems and a BS in Mathematics. I am really interested in entrepreneurship and want to eventually go to graduate school.

However, considering this day and age, I’d really like to customize my schedule and possibly take online classes to complete an online masters degree, but I’m not sure if its worth it.

I am afraid that it will be looked down upon by future employers. Is this true?

Help!
